Housing Lab: Business Acceleration is a free program that aims to drive impact business through practical content, resources, and relevant connections. The program was created to encourage businesses to develop solutions that generate a positive impact on issues associated with housing, such as access to basic services, housing remodeling and technical assistance, financial solutions, among others.

 

At the end of the acceleration process, the most outstanding businesses receive seed capital and intensive mentoring. The program is in its 4th edition and has already supported more than 80 entrepreneurs.

 

Conceived by Coalizão Habitação, an initiative undertaken by Artemisia and Gerdau in partnership with Instituto Vedacit, Tigre, Votorantim Cimentos, and Leroy Merlin, Housing Lab was supported by Instituto Iguá in 2020.

 

The companies Akredito, Biosaneamento, Comuta Arquitetura, and Isobloco were the most prominent businesses in 2020. These are initiatives that work with basic sanitation, access to housing microcredit, low-cost remodeling, and civil construction innovation.
